Privacy Policy

1. About KidArmenia

KidArmenia helps families discover places, events and collections of ideas for spending time with children in Armenia. This policy explains how personal information is handled when you use our website or sign up for our future newsletter.

KidArmenia is operated by [EDITOR: legal name of the person or organization responsible for the website], located at [EDITOR: appropriate business or registration address and country].

For privacy questions or requests concerning your information, contact [EDITOR: monitored privacy contact email].

2. Newsletter information

If you use the newsletter form on our homepage or Events page, we ask for your email address and your permission to receive KidArmenia newsletters. The permission checkbox is initially unchecked. Signing up is optional and is not required to browse our places, events or collections.

Our subscription record contains:

The form does not ask for your name, account password or information about your children, and subscribing does not create a WordPress account. The form language is a record of what you saw, not a guarantee of your future newsletter language.

3. Purpose and permission

We collect newsletter signups to maintain a list for future emails about KidArmenia places, events and family outing ideas, and to keep a record of the permission given through the form. The separate privacy-policy link explains our data handling; simply visiting this page does not subscribe you.

At present, this newsletter feature stores signups only. It does not send newsletters or confirmation emails, and it is not connected to an external email-marketing provider.

Repeated signups with the same email address do not create another subscription record or replace the original signup and consent details.

[EDITOR: confirm the applicable legal grounds for each purpose, including newsletter consent, security processing and any separately retained records. Confirm the appropriate consent procedure before collecting real signups.]

4. Technical information and cookies

The newsletter form uses security checks to reduce invalid submissions and automated abuse. These checks process an IP address and, for applicable submissions, the submitted email address to derive temporary security identifiers. Raw IP addresses and browser user-agent strings are not stored in the newsletter subscriber table. The security limits use short windows of 15 minutes and one hour; they are not a statement about the retention of hosting logs or backups.

[EDITOR: add the actual technical-data and cookie inventory for the deployed website. Check WordPress, WPML, other active plugins, hosting, CDN, security services, analytics and embedded content. State the data collected, purposes, providers, durations and available choices. Do not publish a claim that the whole website uses no cookies, logs or tracking without verifying it.]

5. Where information is stored and who can access it

Newsletter records are stored in a dedicated table in this website’s WordPress database. The newsletter dashboard is restricted to authorized administrators, who can review records, export the list or delete individual subscriptions. Exported files and database backups can contain copies of subscription information and need to be protected as well.

[EDITOR: identify the actual hosting, backup and other service providers that process personal information; the purposes of their access; storage countries; and any applicable international-transfer arrangements. Describe any additional disclosures that actually occur or are required by applicable law.]

There is currently no external newsletter-delivery integration. Before introducing one, we will update this policy to describe the provider and relevant processing, and obtain any additional permission required. We will not treat consent to KidArmenia newsletters as permission for unrelated marketing purposes.

6. How long information is retained

[EDITOR: insert the retention period or clear criteria for newsletter records, including what happens if the newsletter never launches, a subscriber withdraws consent, or a record is no longer needed. Set out any necessary retention of consent evidence separately.]

The current newsletter software does not automatically delete old records. Its administrator deletion tools remove the selected record from the active newsletter table. Deletion from that table does not automatically remove copies in existing backups or previously downloaded exports.

[EDITOR: describe the actual backup and export retention/deletion process, who performs it, and how a restore avoids reintroducing records that should remain deleted. Adopt an operational process before promising specific deadlines.]

7. Your choices and requests

You can contact [EDITOR: monitored privacy contact email] to withdraw newsletter permission or ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of your subscription information. Please identify the email address concerned. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your own data; do not send identity documents or sensitive information unless we explain why they are needed.

These requests are handled manually at present. There is no self-service unsubscribe page in the current store-only newsletter feature. If newsletter delivery is introduced, working withdrawal instructions will be provided with those emails.

[EDITOR: confirm the rights, response timeframes, exceptions, withdrawal procedure and consequences that apply to this operator and audience. Add the correct supervisory-authority complaint route and verified contact details where applicable.]

8. Children and families

The newsletter is intended for parents, guardians and other adults planning family activities. Please use your own email address and do not submit children’s personal information through the newsletter form. The subscription form does not verify age.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information inappropriately, contact [EDITOR: monitored privacy contact email] so the matter can be reviewed and the information handled appropriately.

9. Other websites and communications

Our listings may link to venue websites, ticket sellers, maps and other external services. If you follow those links, those services’ privacy policies apply to their own processing. An external link is different from content embedded directly on our pages; any active embeds must be described in our technical-information section.

[EDITOR: describe any separate personal-data handling for direct email enquiries, comments, accounts, contact forms, Place submissions or other active channels. Do not copy generic WordPress clauses for features that are not actually enabled.]

10. Changes to this policy

We will review this policy when the website’s data-handling practices change, including before adding newsletter delivery, analytics or other services that process personal information. The date above identifies the latest approved version. Where a change requires notice or fresh permission, we will take the applicable steps before using information for that purpose.
